Sketchblog anyone?

Anyone want to join a sketchblog? I've seen a few around, so I thought I'd start one up and try to get my friends to join. I figure it's a good way to keep drawing when you're feeling uninspired or can't think of anything to draw.

We could all make suggestions for a theme and then draw one out of a hat every week. Anyone interested?

I watched Golden Compass this morning. How cool is Sam Elliot? It's impossible to be as cool as that guy. Have you seen The Big Lebowski? F!

After doing a characturature of myself I thought I'd try someone else. Not something that I'm great at yet, but I'd love to get better. This guy commented on my photoblog today. maybe someday I'll be this good.

No excuse

So now that I've been unemployed for a while, I guess I have no excuse for not updating my blog. I also have nothing interesting to say.
The last contract I was on was a doozy, It was awesome to get into classical style animation again, but I worked all the time. In doing so there was a lot of things around the house that needed to be done, that got pushed aside.
Now, I've got to try to get 8 months worth of things from the "honey-do-list" done while revamping/updating my website, and trying to find a job in this economic climate. Sigh, wish me luck.
I'm going to try my hardest to get at least one of the things on my bucket list going by posting on my photo blog every day, or at least having a photo from everyday to post.

Mike's Bucket List

A while ago my friend Tom Collins decided to make a bucket list. He's making a list of 100 things he'd like to do before he dies. Some easy to accomplish (#9), some not (#6, just kidding Tom.) I think it's a great way to encourage yourself to get off your butt and actually do something, and me being the lazy ass that I am, could use something like that. So here we go, Mike's bucket list; 100 things to do before I die . . . If anyone has any suggestions I could really use a few, Tom, I'm probably gonna steal a few of yours.
